Kellis Faith made her appearance on September 10 at 12:56 pm. The induction went by fast (much faster than I expected!). We have been going to get blood work for jaundice since leaving the hospital. Today we got good news...levels are going down and we don't have to go do blood work again!!! She is so precious. She sleeps well and is getting better at eating. She is adorable.
Ashlynn is having a hard time adjusting to her new baby sister. She stayed with Aunt Lyndsey and Grammy while we were in the hospital and the first night home. Friday at school her teacher said she was very sad. She has moments when she just seems so sad. We are trying to spend as much time as possible with her. She is slowly starting to talk about Kellis and pay attention to her. On top of the new living arrangements, she is not feeling well. We think she is getting some back molars. One funny situation so far....Kellis had a dirty diaper the other day. Ashlynn saw it, went into the kitchen, and threw up. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, especially Ash as she adjusts.
I will post pictures of Kellis soon.Comments:Chrystal: Congrats! And Ash is hilarious- so girlie! Going to vomit over a diaper! Lets hope she stays away from boys too when she gets older- because they have coodies too! Miss YA, TAKE CARE!!! :)Christie: Congratulations, Lauren! I got your message. I'm so happy for y'all. Praying for little Ashlynn. I'm sure she'll be fine soon. Love you!Mandye: Congrats, Lauren! Ashlynn will adjust soon, I pray! Until then, keep her away from those dirty diapers! Poor baby! I've had some that made me want to throw up, too. :) Love you!michelle: Congrats Lauren-she is beautiful-yall are in my prayers-thanks for keeping me updatedAdd a comment:

Kellis will be here sometime Wednesday, September 10, 2008. My doctor wants to induce me before she gets too big. I am so excited to finally meet her, but not so excited about the induction. Please be praying for us.
Ashlynn will be staying with Aunt Lyndsey, Uncle Victor, and Carson while mommy, daddy, and Kellis stay at the hospital. Ashlynn has been asking to get baby Kellis out! Aunt Lyndsey gave Ashlynn a suitcase for a prize before Kellis is born. She has already packed it and is ready to stay with Aunt Lynds, Uncle Victor, and Carson!!Comments:Add a comment:

Ashlynn turned 2 last week! We had a great time. My mom, Ashlynn and I all went out to eat dinner Thursday night for her birthday. We then had a party for her on Saturday. She had lots of friends and family come. Ashlynn had a blast playing with the bubbles and in the pools.
We have been busy these past few weeks. I was out of town, then Jason was out of town. My mom, Devin, Uncle Kenny J, Aunt Sande, Brent, Anna, and Kara came into town for Ashlynn's birthday party. Lyndsey, Victor and Carson moved in last weekend. Our friends Greg and Chenille had their little boy, Ethan, last night. He is so cute!! We are going to Arkansas next weekend to see my cousin, Katie's, new little girl that should arive July 2.
Ashlynn loves that Aunt Lyndsey is closer. She always wants to see Lyndsey, Victor, and Carson.Comments:Lyndsey: And we enjoygetting to see Ashlynn EVERYDAY!!!

We had a good Memorial Day weekend. It was busy, but good. We went to Burger's Lake yesterday. We went with Greg, Chenille, Mason, Alli, Colby, and Sydney. Ashlynn really enjoyed jumping off the diving board!! She didn't however, want to walk around the water much on her own. She wanted someone to hold her.
Her hives have gone away now. We still don't know what was causing them. Her cough is also better since she started the Prevacid.
Kellis is doing well. She is moving alot. My belly is getting bigger and bigger every day! Ashlynn likes to talk to "baby Kellis". She will even bring toys to baby Kellis. Ashlynn will tell me "I sharin' with baby Kellis". It is so cute. She also likes to pat and kiss baby Kellis. I just hope this continues when she actually arrives!
Update on MommaDot: The chemo appears to be working. She has a scan a few weeks ago which showed the tumors to be about half the size they were. She continues to do chemo every 3 weeks. She is also going to start a new type of therapy that will take the place of some of the chemo treatments. She does not get as sick from this new therapy. She is feeling better and has more energy. Thank you for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for her and my grandaddy.Comments:Jamie: Awh, what a sweet big sister you are Ashlynn! I'm glad things are going well with you four. September will be here before you know it!
Wish we could have been there to go to the lake with you guys for Memorial Day. Sounds like you had a lot more fun than we did. Our BBQ was a bust. :( Oh well.
Love you guys and will talk to you soon!Add a comment:

Sorry to all who may have been anxiously waiting to here about the sono. We did have a sono last Thursday. Everything is looking good. We are going to be having another little girl!! Her name will be Kellis, no middle name decided at this point.
Last night Ashlynn was talking to "baby Kellis". It was so cute. She would pat pat baby Kellis and tell her night nignt. She gave baby Kellis kisses. She is so funny.
On another note, Ashlynn has started breaking out in hives. They appear randomly all over her body except on the stomach. This has been going on for about two weeks now. They are not as severe any more, but we have no idea what is causing them. We stopped several foods and medications for a short time, but no relief. They don't seem to bother her, but they sure look bad. They are worse when she gets hot. Not good since it is starting to warm up and should I remind everyone that it gets HOT in Texas!
Other than the hives she is doing well. Talking non-stop and a mess. She loves to run. Sometimes out of the blue she will say "I want to run" and take off. She is such a ham. She loves to put on a show for everyone. She also has a little mean streak. When things don't go her way she will hit or bite. (we are not proud of this.) She is bossy also, which can be so funny sometimes. We laugh so much at things she does and says.
Please continue to keep MommaDot in your prayers. She goes for another round of chemo soon and then they will do a scan to see how the cancer is reacting. The doctor thinks it is responding well, but we will know for sure soon. She will likely have to go through chemo for another 4 or 5 months. She is starting to feel better though. She is even concerned about how she looks and making sure she is matching!Comments:Add a comment:

Well, I guess it is time to post again. Many of you already know, but we will be adding to our family soon!! We are expecting a new little one in September. We have a sono on April 17th, so hopefully we will be able to determine the gender at that time. I have been pretty sick this pregnancy. I think the worst of it is behind me though.
Ashlynn is so funny. She talks non stop and is so smart. She apparently is the bossy motherly type. We were told by one of her teachers at daycare that she does not lay down on her mat for nap time until she has gone around the room and patted every other child on the back. She also tells the children what they should and shouldn't be doing, however, it is perfectly fine for her to do things that she should not be doing! We were able to visit with Aunt Lyndsey and Carson ("Tarsen" according to Ashlynn) over their spring break. She was really good with Carson. Lyndsey took them to Six Flags while mommy had to work:(. She seemed to have a great time. We had a great time with them here.
We went home for Easter. Ashlynn had two Easter egg hunts. She had a lot of fun. She wanted to see the Easter Bunny, but did not want to get too close. At Jason's family hunt, his cousin brought their new rat terrier to the hunt. Ashlynn was more concerned about the "puppy gog" than finding eggs.
Thanks for all your prayers for my grandparents. Just an update: My Grandaddy is doing well and no longer using any oxygen. My MommaDot does have lymphoma. She completed her first round of chemo, which really did a number on her. However, at her follow up doctor visit they did not see any cancer cells!! Praise God!! She will still have two more rounds of chemo. One will be in a week or so and will only take a few hours rather than the four days like the first treatment. Both Grandaddy and MommaDot are at home now. Please just continue to keep them in your prayers.Comments:Sherry: Congratulations Lauren, Jason, and Ashlynn on the new baby! I am so excited for ya'll.michelle: congrats on the new baby Lauren-two babies is twice the love and fun....and work-but it's worth it.good to hear from youAdd a comment:

I know I have not added new pictures, but the site has not been cooperating with new pictures. I hope to add pictures soon, though. I have also been so busy.
Ashlynn is a wild child! She has started hitting now when things don't go her way. She is talking up a storm.
Please pray for my grandparents. Granddaddy just got out of the hospital, but is still on 1L of O2. Moma Dot is now in the hospital and they are doing a biopsy today on her lymph nodes. The doctors said it is either an infection or lymphoma. Needless to say we have been on an emotional rollercoaster these past few weeks.Comments:Add a comment:

Well, Ashlynn had a great Christmas. Ashlynn and I joined some friends for dinner and games Christmas Eve. She had a blast!! She played with our friends cat, Raisin, and got a Noah's Ark that she really loves. She would walk around saying, "Noah, Noah". (Jason had to work that night in case you were wondering why he did not go with us.) Christmas morning she woke up, had her milk, and began eyeing her new school bench. She loved to play the key board and color on it. She was not real excited about opening presents, just wanted to eat the wrapping paper!! She did love all her gifts. She walked around most of the morning with a new bracelet on, holding her necklace that matched, and talking on her new cell phone. Ganny and Pawpaw came in around 5pm, and she actually opened the presents they brought. We ate dinner and then made sugar cookies. Ashlynn only wanted to use the red decorating sugar!! We had a good Christmas, but missed being able to spend it with all our family. We hope to come visit soon. We love you all and hope you had a great Christmas as well!!

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted. Ashlynn is all over the place!! She is talking non stop. She says so many new words every day.
We went to Jackson last weekend for my Papaw's 90th birthday. We had a great time. Ashlynn played with baby Carson, Brinkley, and Abby. She loves Abby and would call for her constantly.
This past week we went to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. It was actually cold this year. Ashlynn and Jennifer were able to play together this time, which was fun to watch. Although Ashlynn does not share well. Momma Dot did find them being mischeivious at one point. They had pulled all the kleenex out of the box, diapers out of the bag, and were working on the wipes. I am afraid that this is only a glimpse of what is to come!
I will try to get pictures up this week. Please keep us in your prayers. Jason has sent his resume to a church for a children's minister position. We are still unsure of what God wants us to do in regards to this position. We will meet with some people this week from that church. We hope this will give us a clearer understanding of God's will. The position has not been offered at this time. Both sides are being prayerful and sure before making any decisions.Comments:Mandye: Good Luck with the decision. Of course, we'd like you to apply for something a little closer, but I know God knows where you need to be :) We'll keep you in our prayers!Jamie: Hey ladies! We miss you guys so much! It would be awesome to see Ashlynn and Madison playing together in the backyard like last year. (tear) We love you three and will definitely be praying as God directs you with this possibility. Talk to you soon!Add a comment:
